The MICOALGA-FEED Operational Group organizes the second talk with agents of the sector
Application of mycological biotechnology to the concept «One Health», central theme of the talk. The second talk with agents of the sector organized by the MICOALGA-FEED Operational Group, will be held next Thursday, July 28, at 10am. An online and totally free day focused on how to achieve, through fungi, the achievement of the «One Health» objectives. This initiative, promoted by the World Health Organization, seeks to develop strategies to achieve optimal health of people, animals and the environment. In this context, mushrooms play a prominent role thanks to their numerous beneficial properties in each of these three elements. The Hifas Group (Hifas da Terra, Hifas Veterinary and Hifas Foresta), has been exploring these beneficial properties of fungi for years and, through innovative biotechnological techniques, extracting their full potential. With the help of Esteban Sinde, CEO of the company, we will delve into the uses and benefits of fungi in a wide range of areas, as well as the biotechnological techniques used. Within the framework of the MICOALGA-FEED project, Hifas Veterinary is the entity in charge of the selection and production of fungi that, thanks to their immunomodulatory, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory potential, allow, through their addition to feed for poultry cattle, to reduce the use of antibiotics in livestock. Precisely, Ángel Sanabria, from FEUGA, will be in charge of exposing the MICOALGA-FEED innovation project.
